Well done to all of our children who attended the cross-country event this week. Over 360 children from 12 different schools attended. Many of our pupils were placed very well, with one child placed 4th out of their race involving over 50 children.
Magpies who are currently swimming this half-term and have out done themselves with what they have achieved during their weekly swimming lessons. Each child in year 6 must be able to swim 25-metres by the end of year 6. Over three quarters of the class have completed this so far.
Canaries and Owls class are currently learning about the sport tennis. The children have looked at a range of skills needed to play tennis along with rules of how to play and the scoring system. During recent lessons the classes have been focusing on improving their hand-eye coordination, how to serve to begin a match, the different strokes used in tennis and why quick reactions and agility is so important.
