A huge well done to those children who have received certificates for star of the week and presentation and handwriting awards this week. Keep up the hard work!

On Monday we had a Remembrance Day assembly to pay our respects, to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms. The children joined in with a 2-minute silence at 11am.

In science this week, Canaries investigated which materials are the best insulators to keep water hot. To make it a fair test, the children decided that 200ml of water should be in each cup, and that we needed to test the temperature every 5 minutes. We concluded that the plastic cup with cotton wool surrounding it was the best insulator. Canaries then put their findings into their workbooks.

This week we have been focusing on our tackling tables. We are now ready for our next tackling tables test on the computers.

We have a slot booked for every Thursday afternoon in the library, so the children can choose a book they would like to read. They have all been very enthusiastic about this and love to read in the classroom.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mrs Bussey, Mrs Gosling and Mrs Fyson.
