A big well done to those children who received star of the week, handwriting and presentation awards and tackling tables certificates. Keep up the hard work.

In maths, we have been learning about addition using the column method and using our place value knowledge to help us add up to 4-digit numbers.

In literacy, we are working our way towards our own independent writing. The children have loved learning about The Nowhere Emporium and have some fantastic ideas about what may happen next.

We finished our History topic this week about Baghdad 900CE. The children really enjoyed creating a leaflet about what we have learnt.

Canaries class have shown a real enthusiasm for reading this half-term, which is fantastic. Please try to encourage reading at least 3 times a week. The children are able to bring home their banded books and also have access to a library book of their choosing.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you enjoy your half-term break and we look forward to seeing you on our return on the 4th November.
