Canaries loved dressing up for the Halloween disco, plenty of fun was had by all, including lots of dancing on the dance floor. A huge thank-you to Friends of Eastgate, for organising the event.

Well done to those children who received star of the week, handwriting and presentation awards and tackling tables certificates. Keep up the hard work.

Canaries have been working on their own independent abstract art pieces, using shapes and colour to create their final assessment piece of work. They look fantastic. Well done.

This week in history we have been learning more about Baghdad 900CE. The children have been really interested in the House of Wisdom, which was at the time the world’s largest library, covering subjects such as science, maths, architecture, medicine, philosophy and law.

Please encourage your child to read at home at least three times a week and spellings will be sent home on Monday.

Thank you for your continued support. Mrs Bussey, Mrs Gosling and Mrs Fyson.
