During our DT lessons, the class made and tried pesto pasta. The class enjoyed using a pestle and mortar to grind the garlic, basil and pine nuts. Many of the children were unsure if they would like the pasta beforehand, but many enjoyed it once they had given it a try and some asked for second helpings!
We have also been learning about transparent and opaque materials and spent a science lesson using torches to find classroom objects that allow light through and those that don't.
