Penguins have been creating chemical reactions!
This week in literacy, Penguins have been discovering information about the character of their new book, Jemmy Button. They have also been using freeze frames to show emotions from the story. They haven't read too much of the story yet and are intrigued to find out more.
In maths this week, Penguins have continued to learn about division with and without remainders.
In DT, they have designed a sandwich for someone else to eat.
In RE, the children have been learning about the meaning of the word 'sacred'.
In computing, the children were building on their coding knowledge by creating a code for if/else statements.
In science, Penguins have started their new topic of States of Matter and the Water Cycle. They were recapping their year 2 learning of solids and liquids and building on that to include gas and the different states that water can be.
Penguins experimented mixing baking soda and vinegar together to create carbon dioxide. This was released into a balloon to show them that gas fills the available space.
